Photos of the kids

V busy times here so just a little selection of some of my favourite pics of the kids from the last month. School breaks up next week for the summer holiday - I don't know if that will be better or worse.

Alexander's Sports Day

Last Friday was Alexander's first Sports Day. For the wee ones they have a series of activities they work through in their teams. So, it is about completing the activities with their teammates, not about who wins or loses. Along with the usual ballgames, they did balancing activities, things with hoops and fun dress up races and egg and spoon races. We all had a great day.

Eleanor watched all this activity with much excitement and was only to pleased to take part in the toddler race and win herself a packet of crisps. It is her preschool Sports Day this Friday, so check back soon for some pics.

New Photoblog - aka Lauren's sketchbook

I had to take my photoblog down a couple of months ago because I ran out of server space. Finally, I have upgraded so can now republish it. PHOTOBLOG warning: may take a while to load.

Life gets back to normal

It's the weekend after the bombings in London and life for most Londoners has returned to normal. Sadly for some however, that will never be possible.

We are very thankful that Patrick passed through Liverpool St station about an hour before that bomb exploded. He was fine, but understandably quite shaken.

Back at home in Woodford Green, we were so pleased to see him on Thursday night after his 4hr walk home.

He will post his account of events when he has time.

Little Margaux

Margaux is 4 months old today, which is so hard for us to believe. The time has just flown by, but by the same token, it is difficult to imagine what life was like before she arrived.

She is still an absolute gem of a baby. Every day, she becomes much more alert and has just discovered that her hands and feet make wonderful playthings. I think she is just itching to be able to communicate with us as she will coo and babble to us for ages with great enthusiasm and expression. We are also getting lots of very hearty chuckles.

Yesterday she rolled over from back to front for the first time and looked so pleased with herself when I rolled her back. Getting stronger by the day.

Some pics of her playing with her feet.
