Where were we

It's been a long time since I have had time to post an update.

Things have been moving very quickly lately. There's a lot going on. Work, kids, school holidays - all great fun, but very busy.

The kids are now on 6 weeks' school holidays. So far, so good. I have plenty planned to keep them amused. It is the only way to save our sanity.

We had the usual mayhem before they broke up - we had the usual sports days, concerts, parties, discos ... this list goes on.

One of the highlights for Alexander was that this year, he was awarded the "Excellent Pupil Award" for his class. He received a certificate and got to miss a whole afternoon's work to go the headmistress's room for treats with the children from the other classes who also received the award (one per class is awarded). We were very proud of him - and he was immensely proud of himself!

Eleanor has just finished preschool and will now start at the school nursery in September. She is very excited about the fact that she will now be going to big school with Xander. Next Sept 2007 she will start in the reception class.

She had her end of school year ballet recital a few weeks ago. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. She looked so angelic fluttering around in her little pink tutu. Unfortunately no pics, because we (the parents) didn't know it was on until the day, so didn't have cameras with us. She tells me that she fancies doing gymnastics next.

And Margaux, well she's still as cute as a button but as bold as they come. I guess she's had the best teachers in the business. She has started counting and is trying to sing a few songs. She can sing the first line of "Baa, baa black sheep" but then blah blah's the rest. Also tries to sing a bit of "Twinkle, twinkle". She just wants to be one of the kids now.

Pics are from Alexander's sports day
